Looking for healthy fast food options? When you are crunched for time and you need a quick pick me up, or something to hold you over until mealtime, go for one of nature’s fast food options. Instead of grabbing the packaged processed food, full of unhealthy unmentionables, grab some fruit, veg, nuts, or seeds. You will nourish your body without even having to give it much thought. Also, keep in mind packaged “health foods” are usually not very healthful Stick with real food. Some good options:Banana and a handful of nuts or seeds (did you know Brazil nuts are actually seeds, not nuts?), An orange with homemade trail mix of dried fruits, nuts and seeds (always have it pre-made and ready to go), Apples or celery with nut butter squeeze packs, Mix of raw baby veggies thrown into a ziplock (sweet peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and peas are some good options), if you do animal proteinHard boiled egg with a handful of carrot and celery sticks (again keep them pre-made in the fridge so you can grab and go), Organic Greek yogurt with some fruit or trail mix. There are so many options that with just a little thought you won’t have to reach for the baddies. Many of these options you will be able to source when out and about even.Let me know your favorite options for healthy fast foods below. Always looking for new ideas.🧐 Mitochondria. Something I never thought I would know so much about. (My youngest has a mitochondrial disorder.) Did you know the latest science points to mitochondrial dysfunction as the main driver in chronic disease. All chronic disease. Did you know that mitochondria can be damaged by toxins in our environment? All types of toxins. Toxins in food, in water, in the air, from our electronics, in our prescription medications, even some in our vitamin and mineral supplements. Did you know we cannot live without our mitochondria? Wide spread mitochondrial dysfunction in the body, if not reversed or arrested, will eventually result in death. One of the many benefits of homeopathy is that it is 100% nontoxic. Even to our very susceptible mitochondria. Homeopathy is a safe, effective, alternative, that can create huge shifts towards health and healing.❤️ #mitochondria #mitochondrialdysfunction : @drmarkhyman
Rainy days in Southern California allow for cozy study sessions.❤️ Really wishing Pathology was going faster, yet at the same time feeding my inner science geek🤓 Happy Saturday! Cold brew Jasmine Pearl green tea. Why cold brew?Higher polyphenols and catechins. Essentially this means reduced oxidation of the good stuff in green tea. What’s the benefit of this “good stuff”?How about higher rates of fat burning, reduced visceral fat, reduced inflammation, and cancer fighting properties. How to cold brew your green tea? Fill a glass jar with room temperature water and add 1 heaping teaspoon of green tea per cup of water. Brew in the fridge or on the counter top for 6-8 hours. Strain and enjoy.❤️Do you cold brew? What are your favorites?

I have wanted to post this recipe for quite a long time, but, life… Life is so crazy and hectic sometimes. Homeschooling, my own studies, cooking 3 meals daily mostly from scratch, and regular day to day life doesn’t leave much room for other things these days. But here it is, finally, our Hemp Milk…
